Sorry I have been gone such a long time. It has been a whirlwind year for us! In August of 2010 Hunter's father and I seperated. I was an emotional wreck. All of a sudden I was a single mom. What to do, where to go?? I hurt for my son, how would I explain this to him when he was older. In January 2011 I lost my grandmother who raised me. Hunter loved his nanny. Again where do I go, what do I do, how do I explain this to my son?? Then in March of 2011 Hunter had to have a hernia repair surgery. I was so scared at the thought of my 2 year old being put to sleep and having major surgery. But the surgery team at Pitt was amazing and they made me feel very comfy! The surgery went great! In January I met Jeff. All I can say is wow. We clicked instantly and he quickly developed a wonderful relationship with my son!!! I felt like things were coming back together and I was getting a family again. In June 2011 we found out that Jeff had a 15 year old son (long story on that one, but they were finally reunited)! So that brings us to now. Jeff and I are getting married in November and I could not be happier!!! We are raising our boys together and life is finally looking up!!!!!!

Hunter had a great 2nd christmas! It is amazing how much difference there was in last year and this year! But I guess at that age a year is a huge time period! He is growing so fast and getting so smart. I love the daycare he is in. He is learning sooo much and making lots of wonderful friends. For christmas he got lots of clothes, shoes, a 4wheeler, his handy manny work bench, lots of books and a ton of toys! Here are a few of his pics!

Allergies
So Hunter inherited one horrible thing from his mommy. ALLERGIES!! I am so sorry that he had to get this from me. Anyway so this so far has been a tough one. He is always having to take different kinds of sinus meds. (Zyrtec, Xyzal, Singulair...) So far this year due to allergies we have had 2 ear infections, a respiratory infection, and tonsillitis. Not to mention multiple fevers, a constant hacking cough, and a constant river of a runny nose. YUCK! When his cough and breathing gets bad he has to take xopenex breathing treatments (which cost $ out the ying yang) and it is sad to see your child sick. Especially when he is constantly sick (with allergies you know he inherited from you)! Oh well hopefully we are over the major sicknesses now and he will just have allergies then get better. Keep him in your prayers. He doesn't act like he feels bad, just has low grade fever, runny nose, and cough. Oh well!!! Maybe he will outgrow it!

Life with a 14 month old!
Wow! Hunter is growing so fast. Everyday is a new accomplishment. Most recently he knows where his eyes, nose, mouth and ears are. He is trying to repeat words and is now saying mama, daddy, papa, ball and shoes all the time!!! He is a total monkey. He climbs on everything! He is a total boy!! Mr. Destructo should be his nickname. We have had some ups and downs lately with sickness. First it was allergies, then bilateral ear infections, then upper respiratory infection, then tonsillitis. But I think for now all is well. Except he is cutting his back teeth now! Watch out mom's those are the worst!
So we have a lot of friends who are going thru trials and tribulations right now that really have made me stop and cherish every second of time I have with him. One family has lost a son, one has had a miscarriage, one a child who spent some time in the NICU, one who just had 2 surgeries in the past month, one who can't seem to concieve a child of their own, and one who has a child 10 months older than mine who has cancer. These things are so scary to think about. They make me appreciate my life more. I am blessed and sometimes I think I forget that. The other night laying on the couch Hunter was asleep in my arms. I kissed his head, held him tight and cried. I thanked God that I have him and prayed that he will always know how blessed he is and that I will always remember how blessed I am. I held him and watched him as he slept and I whispered in his ear how much I loved him, how hard we had to fight to get him and how thankful we were to have a healthy son. I told him about all of the dreams and goals I have for his future. And how I would always support and love him thru whatever road life takes us down.
Well I have rambled enough. I just felt like I needed to spill the guts for a while. Thanks to everyone who is a part of our lives. We love you all and are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!
