Feeding the Ducks!!
On Labor Day since we all the day off Jeremy, me and his mom Gloria decided to take Hunter to a pond near his cousin's house and let him feed the ducks. When we got there the ducks bombarded us before we could even get to the pond. It was about 10-12 ducks there that day and boy were they hungry. These ducks got so close that we could touch them. It was cool. Jeremy wanted to catch one but we stopped him! Hunter was scared to death of those ducks. He never cried he just kept looking at them then me like what are these things and why are they quacking at me! It was so cute. Finally after about 10 minutes of feeding the ducks Hunter decided hmmm if they can eat the bread so can I! GiGi would put bread in his hands and tell him to throw it to the duckies and he would instead shove it in his mouth. It was soooo funny! Then he tried to pick some off the ground but his overprotective mom (yes me!!) stopped him and told him that was nasty! The weather was a little damp but we had a good time! Hopefully next time we go Hunter will not be as scared of the ducks now that he has seen them once! Hope we can go back soon!!

Trying to take pics
Ok so it is not easy taking pictures of a one year old. We took Hunter for his one year pics with Dale Williams last night. All I can say is thank God he is a patient man and a wonderful photographer. He always manages to get a great shot no matter what. Hunter was running all around the studio and would not sit still. I don't think I could have handled him without my mother-in-law. Thank God for GiGi!! But in the end we got some good pics of him standing and sitting on the wooden bench, sitting in the rocking chair, and sitting on and standing beside the hobby horse. I always thought it was hard to get good pics of him when he was little and immobile. But now, WOW!! The kid is like a monkey wanting to climb all over everything. And good luck getting him to look at you. He is looking around at everything else making noise!! And he will not smile and show them 5 pretty teeth for nothing. He gives this stern serious look like his daddy! But in the end no matter what we had fun and are bound to end up with pics and memories to last forever. Thanks Dale for all the great pics you took of Hunter's first year, birth to now! I promise to post the pics when I have them!!

Hunter's 1 year checkup!
So Hunter went today for his one year checkup with Dr. Baliga. All is good! He weighs 26 pounds (90%) and is 30.5 inches tall (95%)! His head circumfrence is now in the 95% (I could have told you that! He has a huge head, but it is a cute head!) He is on mark with all his milestones (walking, playing peek-a-boo, rolling a ball, noticing the difference between mama and dada!) He is growing up so fast, I swear blink and they are not little babies anymore!! He got four shots today and had to get some blood drawn (the dreaded finger prick)! With the shots he only cried for like 2 seconds and as soon as I picked him up he was fine. With the finger prick he did not cry at all, he just looked at the lady like "what?"!!! So no more shots for now. We go back hopefully next month for the flu shot and then in December for his 18 month checkup! But until then all is good with Hunter! Clean bill of health from the dr! Next stop the dentist!!

Hunter's First birthday!
So we had Hunter's first birthday party! Overall it was a huge success. I had to do a lot of work, but in the end it was worth it to see all of our family and friends sharing in Hunter's joy! He got lots of awesome presents. (although he was not too good at opening them and apparently mommy wasn't fast enough!) He got clothes, toys, money, food, and best of all his lifetime hunting and fishing license. He missed his nap that afternoon so he was getting a little sleepy! When it came to cake time, he started off real danty. He did not want to rip into it like I thought he would. At first he started picking off the sprinkles. Finally he grabbed a handful of icing and tasted it and was like yummmmm! In no time he was diving head first into the cake. Then he dumped it and started trying to eat the plate! He got it all over him, in his hair, in his ears, and worst of all in his eyes! His eyes got all red and swollen. We went straight from the highchair to the bathtime! We had a great day! Here are a few of his pics! ENJOY!!
